How to Enter the Competition

Entering is simple! Just follow these steps:

1. Create Your Video
   As a couple, show us “how not to propose” in a video. Whether it’s an unhinged scenario or the worst place possible, we want to see it all! Be creative, be genuine, and make it a true reflection of your worst-case scenario for a proposal.
2. Share on Social Media
   Post your video on Instagram with the hashtag #auruptjewellers and tag us @auruptjewellers. Be sure your account is public so we can see and share your entry.
3. Make sure you are following us
   To enter you must be following @auruptjewellers on Instagram, if you submit an entry but are not following our account the entry will be invalid.

Judging Criteria

The winning video will be selected based on:

    How unique and creative is your “how not to propose”? We’re looking for entries that make us smile and laugh.
  • Highlight Common Proposal Pitfalls:
    Think of common mistakes that could turn a proposal into a cringe-worthy moment. From forgetting the ring to getting the location wrong, play up these blunders.
  • Get your partner involved
    We would love to see this engagement ring go to a couple who are wanting to get engaged, so get your partner involved.

Terms and Conditions for Aurupt Jewellers’ “How Not to Propose” Video Competition

1. Eligibility

• The competition is open to all individuals aged 18 years and older who are curently residing in Australia.
• Participants must involve their partners in the video submission.

2. How to Enter

• To enter the competition, participants must create a video showcasing their take on “How Not to Propose.”
• Videos must be posted on Instagram, with the hashtag #auruptjewellers and tag @AuruptJewellers.
• Participants must be following the @auruptjewellers Instagram page.

3. Entry Period

• The competition begins on Tuesday the 29th of October and ends on Thursday the 14th of November at 11:59pm. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

4. Judging Criteria

• Entries will be judged based on creativity and humor, involvement of both partners, execution of the concept, visual and audio quality, and overall engagement factor.

5. Prize

• The winner will receive an engagement ring from Aurupt Jewellers’ collection. The ring design will be determined by Aurupt Jewellers and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products.

6. Winner Announcement

• The winner will be announced on Friday the 15th of November via Aurupt Jewellers’ social media channels. The winner will also be notified directly via DM, followed by a personal face time call from Braydon our director. Please be mindful of scams, we will not ask for sensitive personal information or banking details.

7. Rights and Ownership

• By entering the competition, participants grant Aurupt Jewellers the right to use their submitted video for promotional purposes across various platforms, including but not limited to social media, websites, and newsletters.
• Participants retain ownership of their videos but agree to allow Aurupt Jewellers to share them publicly.

8. General Conditions

• Aurupt Jewellers reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not adhere to the competition guidelines or that may be deemed inappropriate, offensive, or harmful.
• Aurupt Jewellers reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or factors beyond their control.

9. Limitation of Liability

• By participating in this competition, participants release and hold harmless Aurupt Jewellers and its affiliates from any liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the competition or acceptance of the prize. Aurupt will not be held liable for any scam or fake pages as a result of this competition.
