Our Process: Custom Engagement Rings

Starting your custom Engagement Ring journey is an exciting experience. Our team are with you from initial consultation and sketch to opening the ring box and seeing the final result. Our custom Engagement rings are all designed and handcrafted in our north Brisbane studio. When choosing a custom Aurupt Engagement ring, you know that your ring has been custom crafted to your preferences, using the finest ethically sourced materials and gemstones. Today we go through the process of choosing a custom engagement ring, from initial consultation to collecting your engagement ring.

Step one: The consultation

During your consultation, the team will discuss what your preferences (metal colour, stone shape, setting style), budget, design & stone type (diamond or coloured gemstone). Our award-winning jewellers will sketch some designs based on your preferences and provide you with quotes for the designs. You also have the opportunity to view stone options in store (available for pre-booked appointments). If you are unsure about what you want that’s okay too, our friendly team will be able to guide you through different options and styles. The consultation itself will goes for approximately 45 minutes. While we always welcome walk-ins, we recommend booking ahead to secure a spot.

Step Two: 3D Render

Once you have given us the go ahead on your sketch & quote, we take a deposit. We then provide you with a
3D render of your design, you can expect your 3D render within a week from when the deposit is paid. The render is a more realistic depiction
of the design sketched during your consultation and is a great opportunity to make any changes and see how your ring
will look with your metal and claw choices. The renders are created to real life proportions.
Once the render has been approved your ring will move onto manufacturing.

Step Three: Manufacturing

Once the 3D render has been approved, the engagement ring moves onto manufacturing. This is where the team meticulously handcraft your engagement ring. All Aurupt pieces are handcrafted on-site in our North Brisbane studio. Once the band and setting are made & put together, the ring then moves on to have the stones set. Once the stones have all been set, the jeweller will give the ring a final polish. It then goes to quality control & is boxed up ready for collection. The manufacturing process takes approximately 3-4 weeks.

Step Four: Collection

Once your engagement ring has passed quality control, it’s time for collection. The team will give you a call to let you know that the ring has been completed & collections are available at any time during business hours. If you require us to post your custom engagement ring, please let the team know and we can have that organized & shipped via express post. With your custom engagement ring you will receive a beautiful Aurupt Jewellers ring box, Outer box, care instructions, polishing cloth & a 200ml bottle of Larson champagne (a gift from us to you).  We also include a retail valuation certificate from an independent appraiser, this typically arrives in store a week after collection.
